E Family | Draper Utah Family Photographer

It was an absolute treat to be able to photograph the Eckersley family in Draper this last fall. These photos were taken just prior to their beautiful daughter leaving on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. While this entire family is a delight to be around, for this post I want to talk for just a minute about these wonderful parents.

The first time I met Maria was when I had the privilege to watch her teach. She has a wonderful ability to make complicated subjects seem not so complicated, and is the epitome of ‘supermom’. Do you see how many kids she has? Now, go check out her website, Meckmom.com . HOW ORGANIZED is she?! #momgoals.

Err……I almost hesitate to share her website with you, because (if I am being honest), it is my secret to any time I have ever appeared on top of things in my life. The Valentines are so creative, her chore chart is nothing short of brilliant, and the around the house hacks have saved my sanity more than once. Plus, her kids range from 5-19 so you will find helpful tips for any stage you are in.

Let me tell you about the kind of man she is married to. After discovering he ha a life threatening illness, he filled his time serving others. He is kind, and you can tell how much he loves his wife by the way he treats her. Look how in love these parents of 6 look. I really, really hope my future looks something like that. I maaayyy have hammed it up a bit though, the kids groans in the background with all the PDA I was making mom and dad do was toooo good. 😂

Katelyn & Spencer | Provo City Center Temple Wedding Photography

I probably shouldn’t admit this, but I have been really neglecting my website lately. I recently logged back in, and it turns out that it was not only really, really, slow- but WAY out of date. I decided I needed to get this BEAUTIFUL wedding on here before a year hit so I could save myself at least a little bit of embarrassment. My clients probably think I don’t love them when I don’t blog right away, and I am taking this opportunity to say IT’S NOT TRUE! I promise I will give my blog especially some extra love this year. Promise.

So- back to this wedding. Katelyn and Spencer were just perfect. I love shooting at the Provo City Center Temple because it is so different than the others, and the couples that choose it seem to really fit there. Does that even make sense? Probably not- but it is true! Look at the images and decide for yourself.

OK I promise to show you soon, but I have to take a quick minute and talk about Katelyn and Spencer. The stand out for me at this wedding was how incredibly kind they were. I will let you all in on a little secret- when you talk to your photographer and use words like ‘dream photographer’ and ‘so amazing’ and similar things that basically inflate their ego to the point that the pressure is so intense to not disappoint you- they will do their very best, even above and beyond what they normally do, to try and not disappoint you. I mean, they made it easy with how their love radiated through every image, but I’m telling you you guys. The pressure was ON.

I am so glad I saved these images so that in the dead of winter, I can reminisce on this beautiful temple session. I’ll show you guys the wedding later, but without further ado- here you GO!
