Jessica and Tyson were such troopers taking their engagement pictures in the cold weather at Tibble Fork Reservoir. I am so happy they chose me to play this part in their wedding photography. Winter shoots can be SO COLD. The white makes everything feel so ethereal and beautiful. When it really got magical was when it started to snow.

I love photographing their family every year, but this session was the first time they called me to be their Newborn photographer!
This family are some of our dearest friends. Katie (mom) is so easy to talk to, and always comes up with the best ideas when we go out on double dates. Jake (dad) I have known as long as I have known my husband (since high school). When the two of them get together it is like I am right back in his basement eating ice cream and watching the two of them quoting the Cosby show– or playing Mario Cart.
I came to the hospital and did a few photos of the girls meeting their new sister. We headed to their home a few days later to capture the nursery. This session is one of my very favorites in the past year, it is so special to see these cute sisters dote on their new baby. Both girls were adorable, but you could definitely tell the oldest was taking her responsibilities very seriously. This ALMOST made me baby hungry….almost ;). I can’t believe this baby is already in a walker! It is almost time for new family photos for these guys, and I can’t even wait.
Meet Taylor and Emily. Spend 5 minutes with these two, and you will know why they were (they got married a while ago 🙈) absolutely perfect for each other. Read on for the most adventurous engagement session.
They are both rock climbers, and completely up for a new adventure. This might be why they were such great sports to explore Squaw Peak with me. We found the perfect spots for their engagement photos. We even did a little hiking! Although you see her in heels, they definitely busted out their Chacos and I…..struggled to keep up 😂
I got to hear about how Taylor grew up in Jackson Hole and Emily spent most of her summers at her parents lodge, Pybus Point in Alaska. Since they have been married, they have started traveling the world and adventuring together. They are one of my very favorite couples to follow on social media after they got married. I can’t wait to see what they do next!

This was my first time taking photos of a family at Tibble Fork in the SNOW. I thought it was so beautiful all dressed in white, and I got to be up there with this sweetest family.
Let me tell you a story. Before I got in to photography, I had my first baby (who is now 8). My husband was in school, we were living in my parents basement, and we were POOR. I ran into Candace at the hospital where I was working, and even though I hadn’t seen her in years she offered to take photos of my sweet baby girl.
You guys. I was so grateful. It is hard for me to express how I feel when I reflect back on it. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and my family is studying the New Testament right now. We just talked this week about The Sermon on the Mount. One of the beautiful things Jesus talks about is doing things for others without the expectation of praise or benefit. Candace completely embodies this! It might seem like something small, but it was such a big deal to me. I really don’t think there is anything more admirable than a person willing to do something kind for someone else, knowing they won’t get anything out of it.
Anyway, that is the kind of person I got to photograph in this beautiful Tibble Fork Snow, and it was just magical <3
